Black August tells the story of the last event-filled months of Jackson's journey from street tough to political martyr. George Jackson is also the author of "Soledad Brother", a book of letters written while in prison. The 1977 blaxploitation film "Brothers" starring Bernie Casey and Ron O'Neal is based on this true story.
